Peak Performance Physical Therapists spend the time necessary to thoroughly evaluate every patient who walks through our doors. This detailed evaluation allows our Therapists to determine a problem list and that directs a focused treatment plan designed to facilitate your recovery. Our staff’s objective will always be to return our patients to optimal pain-free function.


Demond Elliot, PTA

A native resident of South Florida, Demond attended Dillard High School where he played football and was involved in National Honor Society activities. In 1996, after graduating from high school, Demond continued his education at Maryville College. While attending college he worked as a physical therapy aide under the supervision of Joe Black at Maryville Physical Therapy/ Sports Medicine. This is when and where Demond’s interest in physical therapy/sports medicine started and developed more. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education in 2000, Demond continued with a strong interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy. He returned to South Florida and began working as a physical therapy aide at Coral Springs Medical Center. Demond worked as a physical therapy aide for two years and then enrolled in the Broward Community College PTA program in 2002. Demond graduated from the Broward Community College PTA program in 2004 at the top of his graduating class.   He then began working as a PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant), and to promote better outcomes for his patients he desired to strengthen his manual skills so he completed training as a massage therapist at the American Institute of Massage Therapy.  Overall, Demond has been involved in the field of physical therapy for more than 20 years and massage therapy for 11 years and he believes his diverse training and experience has allowed him to provide the most positive outcome for his patients. In his free time, Demond enjoys weight training and spending time with his family.   In 2017, Demond hit the 5 year mark of being a valuable member of the Peak Performance team.


Alex Solano, DPT

Alex Solano gets people moving, active and feeling young again, even after years of aches and pains. He started working with high school athletes in 2002 and then moved on to work with Division I athletes while attending California State University, Long Beach. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Science in Athletic Training in 2006 he moved to Miami to attend Florida International University where he earned a Doctorate degree in 2009. His specialty has always been in orthopedics and sports medicine. He has extensive training in manual therapy where he has learned techniques to help identify and treat specific tissues so that the patient can move and feel better.

He enjoys working with people that have a desire to get better so that they do not have to depend on a lifetime of pain pills or lose their independence. He understands that injuries can lead to functional limitations and works with patients in setting specific goals so that they create an individual plan to get better. He enjoys working with people that have undergone surgery and wants to help them restore their ability to move and become stronger again.


Daniel Pressler, PTA

In 2014, Daniel graduated from Broward College where he studied to be a Physical Therapist Assistant.  While not at school, Daniel spent hours gaining experience with orthopedic and neurological injuries.  The combination of school and this experience inspired Daniel with an intense passion for assisting patients in their rehabilitation.  This passion and his acquired knowledge of sports and fitness has allowed Daniel to achieve his lifelong dream of working with people to help them regain their optimal functional levels.


Charlene Tucker

Born and raised in Nottingham, England, Charlene knew she wanted to be a physical therapist after she herself suffered a torn ACL while playing basketball abroad and had to go through rehabilitation process herself. After migrating to south Florida she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Leisure and Exercise Science from the University of West Florida in 2004. Charlene worked as a physical therapy aide prior to and while studying physical therapy. In 2009, Charlene Graduated with her Doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of South Florida. Since then she has worked in various physical therapy settings from private out-patient physical therapy to acute care within a hospital setting gaining experience and knowledge on the way.

She has completed continuing education in the following areas:

  • Mulligan Concepts- An Introductory Course Mobilizations with Movement, ‘NAGS’, ‘SNAGS’ and more
  • Shoulder Injuries and Upper Quadrant Disorders
  • Effective Examination and Treatment Techniques for the Foot and Ankle

Charlene’s love for travel and diverse upbringing makes her a caring and compassionate health care professional who will assist in all you physical therapy needs.


Stacy Walker, PTA

This Detroit native began her career in the fitness industry as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 10 years. After having her first shoulder injury and enduring physical therapy herself, she transition her fitness career to become a PTA. A graduate from Keiser University she finds joy into helping her patients return back to normal functional life with a kick start to a healthy fitness program.


Aimee Cohen, PTA

Aimee was born in NY, raised in Coral Springs Florida and graduated from the Broward College PTA program in 1994. Her main experience throughout her career has been in the outpatient orthopedic settings working with variety of diagnosis and age ranges. Through continuous education, she strives to stay on top of the most innovative and progressive techniques in therapy.
